Are you someone who can support us to take good care of our school premises? Delivering a high quality service with a friendly manner and taking pride in our school by always ensuring that it looks it’s best.

Your Opportunity

We are looking for someone who will care for our buildings and grounds, carrying out minor repairs as well as managing site health & safety compliance checks, uploading information to the EVERY system used in school; and someone who is flexible, proactive and able to problem solve. This role is 36 hours per week over 52 weeks per year (see shift pattern in the details below)

What we are looking for

We are looking for some experienced in building or premises management with recognised experience, training or qualifications. The post holder will need good English to be responsive to Health & Safety requirements, and confident to work alone and manage school security (building and contents). The successful candidate will be expected to liaise effectively with contractors (e.g. trades, grounds workers) and be willing to attend appropriate training courses. You will be expected to be aware and undertake safeguarding responsibilities working around children and be respectful of the need for confidentiality that exists when working in a school environment.

Our School sits within a newly established cluster of schools, overseen by a Regional Director. Along with Southgate Primary School, our cluster includes the following other schools; Forge Wood Primary School, Kilnwood Vale Primary School, Greenway Junior School, Salfords Primary School, Lime Tree Primary School, Merstham Primary School .

The Details

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: GLF Ass 3 £22,982 - £26,532 (dependent on experience)

Hours of work: 36 hours a week -All year, with 26 days paid holiday plus bank holidays. 

Monday -  7am to 11am and 2pm to 6pm

Tuesday - 7am to 11am and 3pm to 6pm

Wednesday- 7am to 11am and 3pm to 6pm

Thursday - 7am to 11am and 3pm to 6pm

Friday - 7am to 11am and 3pm to 6pm
